Texture loaded is shown in double size in iPhone OS v 3.1

In my OpenGL App, I'm Loading a 1024X1024 textures which contains the background to be drawn at x = 0 and y = 0 in the texture of 320X480. It works fine in all devices except on those having OS version less than 3.2

Any ideas? I'm using Texture2D class to load the image and to draw it.
