Android: keeping both WiFi and mobile network interfaces on
Is it possible to keep mobile network (2G/3G) interface on while WiFi works its magic? The policy in Android is that WiFi has a higher priority than mobile network, so every time WiFi device connects, mobile network gets torn down.
I browsed the site before posting this message and came across posts that were about keeping connections alive with both interfaces, but I just want to have the devices ON. It's a pain in the ass to start up the mobile interface every time WiFi disconnects. This causes an unwelcome delay during which there is no connectivity. If the mobile network device was on when WiFi disconnects, all it would have to do is to form a connection, which takes less than a second.
